Some boat insurance companies discount their rates for class completion; check with your carrier.
Cost is $35 per student, payable on the first night. Classes will be held at USCG Marine Safety Office at
95 Lono in Kahului

The U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's About Boating Safely course covers:
•General information about boats and maintenance
•Information on preparing for safe and enjoyable outings
•Navigation rules and aids to navigation
•Guidelines for operating your boat or PWC safely
•What to do in case of boating emergencies
•State-specific laws and regulations you must follow
Navigating by GPS will be held at the Kahului Airport Fire Department located at 25 Kuhea Kahului-Maui (Click here for map). Cost is $30 per student payable at start of class.
